Double SNAP is back for the 2016 season!

Customers using their EBT/Access cards will be able to double their *SNAP dollars — up to $10 per day – at participating farmers’ markets, farm stands and farm shares.

BFBLGLV’s Double SNAP program launched in the 2015 season, doubling nearly $20,000 in SNAP benefits for locally grown, fresh fruits and vegetables at 13 locations throughout Northampton County.

How the Program Works: No need to enroll in another program if you are already a SNAP beneficiary! Just use your EBT/Access card at a participating Double SNAP location and BFBLGLV will automatically match every dollar you spend up to $10 a day. Spend $1, get $1; Spend $10, get an additional $10 to spend on fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables! For example, if you shop at Easton Farmers’ Market and buy $10 worth of SNAP tokens, you would get an additional $10 in Double SNAP tokens FREE, for a total of $20 in tokens. Or, if you shop using your EBT/Access card at Bechdolt Orchards’ Farm Stand at the Bethlehem Public Library, your $20 purchase would only cost $10. Participating locations and details are listed below.
