Fall Agritourism Activities 2019

Fall is full of all sorts of fun in the Lehigh Valley! Explore this post to find farm activities like pumpkin patches, mazes, and hayrides. Farm Activities

Open House/Open Gate Farm Tour at Flint Hill Farm

Saturday October 19th 10am-4pm; Sunday October 20th 12pm-4pm
1922 Flint Hill Rd., Coopersburg, PA 18036

Activities: Live music, pony rides, pumpkin patch, horse drawn hayrides, horseshoe painting, blacksmithing demos, foodstand, games, tours, farm animals, Woods Walk trail, and more!

 

Pick Your Own Apples at County Line Orchard

Hours: Fri-Sun 10am-6pm until the beginning of November

Available Varieties:
Crimson Crisp – starting 3rd week September; Melrose – 1st thru 3rd weeks of October; Golden Delicious – starting last week September; Ida Red – starting 1st week October; Suncrisp – starting 1st week October; Rome – starting mid October; Keepsake – starting 3rd week of October; Goldrush – starting 4th week of October.

Pick Your Own Apples + Hayrides
Offered as transport to our Pick-Your-Own (PYO) crop fields. A tractor pulled wagon with straw bale seating.

Pumpkin Patch
We offer a wide range of pumpkins and winter squash from small decorative gourds up to large baking (pie) pumpkins and Jack-o-Lanterns. Always popular are our decorative “Lunch Lady” gourds. Hay rides available to pick Jack-o-Lanterns.

Pumpkin Patch + Fall Decorations at Lyon Creek Farm

Offering wagon rides for U-pick pumpkins every Sunday! For more information and additional dates for U-Pick pumpkins, call 484-634-0060. At their daily farm stand, Lyon Creek will be offering: seasonal produce, pumpkins, mini pumpkins, gourds, pie pumpkins, 2 sizes of straw bales, corn stalks, broom corn, ornamental corn, painted pumpkins, gooseneck gourds, big apple gourds, more than 10 varieties of winter squash, blue pumpkins, white pumpkins, and fairytale pumpkins.

2019 Lehigh Valley Open Gate Farm Tours
Lehigh County: Saturday & Sunday, October 19 & 20; 1pm-5pm
Penn State Extension has organized the Open Gate Farm Tours of Lehigh and Northampton Counties for over four decades with a primary goal of educating the public about local agriculture. We have also been fortunate to have the support of many farm community partners enhancing this event. Each year since its inception, the tour has attracted thousands of residents from the Lehigh Valley and beyond. The tour raises awareness of the importance of supporting the local agricultural community as well as helping to build good relationships with our non-farm neighbors. Apple Jam at Easton Farmers Market
Saturday October 19th; 9am-1pm
Centre Square, Easton, PA

Come celebrate the fall with some old-fashioned harvest fun… live music, apple pie eating contest and apple sampling with 20 varieties of Pennsylvania and New Jersey apples! Apples abound at EFM during Apple Jam along with fresh apple cider, apple cider donuts and apple fritters. ‘Stinking Badges’ will be jammin’ in the Music Tent to entertain you .. so relax and enjoy while you take a bite out of the forbidden fruit! Brunch and Bloody’s at Eight Oaks Distillery
Every Sunday in October

“We are so excited to finally offer Brunch & Bloodys EVERY Sunday at the distillery!! We will have delicious brunch items served all day long by our friends with Trè Locally Sourced! Flint Hill Farm is collaborating with Black River Farms to host a wine and cheese tasting! Guests will be able to pair up to five different cheeses and wines while listening to our farm animals!

Restaurant Chili Cook Off Hosted by Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works
November 9th 11am-3pm

Join us at Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works on Saturday, November 9th, between 11am-3pm for Allentown’s first ever Restaurant Chili Cook Off!Tickets are just $10 for all-you-can-sample chili! $20 Tickets are available for those who want unlimited chili and beer samplings throughout the event. Come by, taste chili from 20 Allentown Restaurants, and vote for your favorite! The winning restaurant will take home the title Best chili in Allentown! Your attendance is bigger than just chili.
