Spring Plant Sales at Local Farms

 

If there is anything fresher than buying food directly from local farmers, it’s growing your OWN local food!! We’ve pulled together a list featuring some of our favorite local plant sales. Vegetables, herbs and flowers carefully cultivated by farmers right here in the Lehigh Valley will get your garden off to a great start this season! Support local farms, find some fun new varieties, and enjoy fresh produce right in your own backyard by visiting these plant sales in April and May! 

Crooked Row Farm and Market

Spring hours start Thursday, April 1:
Mon, 12pm-4pm; Tue-Fri, 10am-5pm; Sat-Sun, 10am-3pm

Hardy herbs available by April 1, and then we’ll keep adding to the Plant Sale as it becomes weather-appropriate to have them out. Brassicas and lettuce in mid-April; tomatoes and other hot-weather crops by the end of April/beginning of May. Pre-order online HERE.

Leap into Spring with Monocacy Farm Project when you join us for our first ever Spring on the Farm event. Check out our greenhouse sale featuring a wide variety of plants, take a tour of the farm, and have your questions answered by our staff. Mid April we will have cool weather plants including spinach, lettuce. Kale, swiss chard and brassicas. Warmer weather plants such as heirloom tomatoes, peppers, herbs and some flowers will be available early May. We are also excited to offer elderberry plants this year.

The Seed Farm

Online ordering and low-contact pick-up at the farm:

  • Starting Sunday, May 2: place orders online (check back here for the link to order!). You will choose a pick-up date from several available days/times when you place your order.
  • May 6-8 and May 13-15: Pick up at the farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus. Team members will load your order into your car when you drive up.

Choose from a wide selection of vegetables, herbs, and flowers, all grown right here at The Seed Farm. We’ll have your favorites on hand as well as plenty of new, exciting varieties to try. Growing Practices: All plants are grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, and we never use genetically modified seeds.
