Our infamous “Hot Pepper Showdown” Contest, now in its 17th year – and with a few extra peppers, to boot!
The Showdown takes contestants on a grueling (but extremely entertaining) road, starting with the ‘oh so mild’ jalapeño. Along the way, there’s audience trivia, prizes, sizzling music, and lots of laugh, tears and nail biting. It’s gonna be HOT, HOT, HOT!
Contest starts at 11:00 am. Audience trivia with prizes for people and pups, and lots of twists and turns and sweat and tears along the way. Buckle up!
All hot peppers are locally grown and provided by Easton Garden Works grower Mark Reid!
Contest limited to 20 participants. Preregistration is recommended.

The Easton Farmers’ Market was established in 1752, the year of the City’s founding. The purpose of the Easton Farmers’ Market (EFM) is to provide fresh, high quality, local produce and food products directly from regional farms and businesses to the consumer. EFM strives to support local agriculture and preserve the region’s agricultural heritage while promoting direct connection with the farmers who grow the food. EFM also offers artists and crafters an outlet for sale of their handmade products. As a key part of Easton’s downtown Market District, the Easton Farmers’ Market serves as an important local economic driver and social hub.
